Kerry Ann and Esan -- pre-wedding photographs

We photographed Kerry Ann and Esan at Edgerton Park in New Haven. What a great place for a photo session.

What a couple! They definitely have a spark!!

This is the photograph that they chose for their signature photo. It was one of my favorites!

You can view their images online here on our website.

Their wedding is going to be romantic, fun and joyous. They are getting married at the beach at Anthony's. Flipflops, Sunsets, Romance, here we come...

Ashley and Mike -- Engagement session

We photographed Ashley and Mike two weeks ago for their Engagement session. Wow, what a session! They wanted the portrait session at Quinnipiac because they both graduated from there and the grounds are awesome so we met at the Mount Carmel Campus and afterwards went to the York Hill campus. Ashley and Mike were so easy to work with, and that fact combined with the awesome venue, meant that we took a few hundred photographs! You can view the highlights here in their  video

You can view our top 100 favorites here in their gallery on our website and all of the photographs from their session here in his this gallery on our website.

Ashley's father also surprised her and purchase a few printed photographs and gave them to the wonderful couple yesterday at their Engagment party at the Victorian House in Cheshire. One of the photographs was this bottom image of the two of them on top of the QU marble. The original image (top) was SOOC (straight out of the camera) while the bottom image was the final result of merging three images and creating a High Dynamic Range (HDR) photograph.

This next image looks like something on the cover of a magazine...Tom took this with that awesome 70-200,, f 2.8 lens -- gotta love what that lens can do for selective focusing! Love it!

This next image had a "fairytale" effect applied to it and I really like the way that it turned out!

These next two photographs were Tom's idea.
He had Ashley and Mike sit and look a tthe blank black screen in the York Hill campus center, knowing that we would add in a photograph of them via Photoshop! Fun!

We had an absolutely great day photographing Ashley and Mike! What a fantastic couple!

Krista and Pasquale

We recently went to Edgerton Park in New Haven to photograph Krista and Pasquale for their pre-wedding session. It was a beautiful day and not too hot and we had a lot of fun with both of them. We cannot wait to have her run into his arms wearing her wedding dress and have him twirl her!

You can view the rest of the images from their session here on our website.

What an amazing smile! We photographed Krista's sisters' wedding a few years ago and are honored to be capturing Krista's special day!

Reception Signature Book

Here is a great idea for Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Anniversaries, Parties, etc. A Signature Book. This book was great for Malek and Shakira because they had soooo many awesome engagement photographs! But also they had a lot of friends and family celebrating their union with them so this book allowed them to capture more.

The cover of their album was a canvas photograph

The pages inside were thick, hinged and a lay flat design.

These are photographs of the actual album when it came in.

These are JPGs of the first ten pages of their 20 page album

These are JPGs of the last ten pages of their 20 page album

Alicia and Michael's Engagement

We had a great time photographing Alicia and Michael this fall. They are getting married at the Aqua Turf in the Spring and we went there for their engagement shoot. What great smiles!!

We took a couple hundred photographs, from closeups to "scenics" and even some really fun Taekwondo setups (and I just had to make a fun short video from their Taekwondo photos). We cannot wait until their wedding day to capture their memories for generations to come.

Up close and far away, they were both so much fun to work with!

Wow -- the reflections were awesome, what a place, what a couple!

We saw this right before their photo session and just had to try it -- Tom used a fast lens with a wide aperture and focued on their hands and her engagement ring. I LOVE it!

Another composition with the same idea.

And we will leave you with one more slideshow of the two of them...

Kristine and John -- Southford Falls CT

We photographed Kristine and John (and their adorable little dog) at Southford Falls as a pre-wedding photo session. The weather was perfect! They were both very willing to try anything (even lie down in the covered bridge) and we got some awesome photos. You can click on these to view them larger.

You can view other photos from their photo session on our website: http://tlc.smugmug.com/Portraits/Engagements/Kristine-John-Southford-Falls

There are some many great photo ops at Southford Falls, but the covered bridge still remains one of my favorites. The three photos in the collage on the left was post processed to bring out all of the detail in the wood. And I love the trio on the right in black and white just emphasizing them.

Here are four more of my favorites...which photograph will Kristine and John choose for their signature photo for the reception at the Heritage ?? so many to choose from...

They brought their cute little dog with them. Many couples like to have their dog in their photos, engagement sessions, and even weddings. This poor dog thought that it was going for a nice walk along the stream, but was very disappointed at going to a photo session instead.
There are some great outtakes of the dog in this gallery http://tlc.smugmug.com/Portraits/Engagements/Kristine-John-SFalls-unedited

For these next two photograph, compare the two photos side by side -- Kristine and John look great in both of them but I edited the waterfall to simulate a slow shutter speed, giving the water that silky look.

having a little fun too...

We are looking forward to photographing their wedding this Fall.

Malek and Shakira

Here is a sneak peak an engagement session from last weekend. We photographed Malek and Shakira at Edgerton Park in New Haven on a beautiful afternoon. They were so wonderful and easy to work with and we look forward to photographing their wedding in May!

You can see how great they are as a couple from the romantic photos.

As I said, this is just a sneak peak, we will post more photos when we process them, and provide a link to their gallery on our website.
