Photograph at the old Catskill Game Farm Sept 21 2014 (10:30am to 3pm)
"Catskill Game Farm was a zoo in Catskill, New York, U.S.A.. It closed permanently on Columbus Day 2006 after 73 years of operation. The Game Farm is still closed today." but we will be able to walk the grounds, go into the cages, walk into the Giraffe house, the Rhino house, Kodak film selling yellow stores, see the mini-golf - great place for a photo shoot, a snapshot into the past of this historic landmark. I grew up in th Catskills and we used to go there on school trips -- and it was a real trip to be able to walk into the animal cages and photograph from inside!!
Let's meet a 10am so we are ready to start shooting at 10:30am. Email us if you want to meet at 9:30 to have us help you with your camera settings and set you up for HDR capture before we start (FYI, we will be there at 10 if no ones emails us that they need extra help). You can choose to roam and explore on your own or stick with us. You can have complete independence or work with us side by side for exposures and compositions.
This will be a small group (4-12 people with two leaders) and we have acres and acres of photo ops. FYI, I usually take the lead on the post-processing while Tom usually takes the lead on teaching in the field,but we are both always open to questions, etc. Easy flat walking, but there is a lot of walking (like a zoo, lol). There are places to rest and you can walk at your own pace.
